We’re super excited to announce the latest in a string of partnerships that will help you get paid faster. LawPay, the leading expert in the legal payments space, has joined forces with Invoiced to offer payment processing for our mutual clients.
If you’re not a lawyer or employed by a law firm, you might wonder: why is there a payment platform just for legal payments? In order to process payments, law firms must maintain separate operating and trust accounts. It is of utmost importance that legal entities follow the rules of trust accounting - or face disbarment. Doing this on your own can be an incredibly time-consuming task. And as you may have heard from Invoiced’s legal clients Immigrant Law Group and Meltzer Hellrung, legal billing has enough complexity already.
LawPay, an entity of AffiniPay, has built their own easy-to-use technology around lawyers’ specific needs, providing a simple payment management solution that correctly separates earned and unearned fees and protects IOLTA accounts. Their technology exceeds PCI Data Security Standards, so sensitive data is completely protected. They are recommended by 46 state bars, trusted by 40,000 law firms, and they are the only payment solution offered as a member benefit by the ABA Advantage program.
“We were thrilled to join forces with Invoiced so that we could offer customers a robust billing and payment management solution,” said Amanda Huyck, Partnership Director at AffiniPay. “Together, we help attorneys easily and securely manage invoices and accept credit card and ACH payments online, with support for multiple accounts and the ability to designate where funds are deposited.”
The Invoiced integration with LawPay will allow customers to accept credit card and ACH payments processed through their LawPay merchant account within Invoiced. It will also allow the merchant to select whether incoming invoice payments should be routed to their trust or operating account.
After a one-time account connection using existing LawPay credentials, the ability to send bills and get paid from a central location is set. And it includes the full suite of solutions within Invoiced, including payment plans, recurring billing, and AutoPay.
